Effect of uterine body injection of carboprost tromethamine injection combined with motherwort injection in the prevention of cesarean section′s postpartum hemorrhage

Abstract：Objective To observe the effect of uterine body injection of carboprost tromethamine injection combined with motherwort injection for prevention of postpartum hemorrhage of cesarean section .Methods From Jan 2012 to Jan 2014 80 parturients with bleeding tendency for cesarean section were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 40 cases in each group.After delivery of fetus during cesarean section the experimental group received the uterine body injection of carboprost tromethamine injection 0.25 mg and motherwort injection (20 mg) 2 ml;and the control group received the uterine body injection of 20 U oxytocin .The postpartum hemorrhage rate and post-partum hemorrhage amount at 2 h and 24 h of postpartum , blood pressure changes before and after medication were compared between two groups .Results In the experimental group ,postpartum hemorrhage was found in 3 cases,the incidence rate was 7.5%;the bleeding volume at 2 h and 24 h was (356 ±30.5)ml and (420 ±26.1)ml respective-ly.In the control group , postpartum hemorrhage in 8 cases,the incidence rate was 20.0%;the bleeding volume at 2 h and 24 h was (425 ±28.1)ml and (550 ±27.5)ml respectively.There was significant difference between two groups (P<0.01).In the experimental group,the average blood pressure before treatment was (118 ±6.3)/(71 ±5.1) mmHg,the average blood pressure after treatment was (130 ±8.6)/(80 ±7.8)mmHg.In the control group,the aver-age blood pressure before treatment was (121 ±7.7)/(75 ±6.8)mmHg,that after treatment was (124 ±6.3)/(77 ± 5.9 ) mmHg.There was no significant differences between the two groups ( P>0.05 ) .In comparison within the groups before and after treatment , there were no significant differences in the changes of blood pressure ( P>0.05 ) .Conclu-sion Carboprost tromethamine injection combined with motherwort injection in the prevention of cesarean section ′s postpartum hemorrhage caused by uterine atony have a very good clinical effects ,and the side effect is small ,early use has important significance for the prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage .
