The diagnostic value of CT in occult and subtle fractures of lisfranc joint

Abstract：Objective To explore the diagnostic value of multi-slice CT(MSCT) in the occult and subtle fractures of lisfranc joint .Methods The clinical data was collected in 36 patients with occult and subtle fractures of lisfranc joint which were missed on conventional X-ray film at first diagnosis but diagnosed by MSCT and the main CT manifestations were analyzed .Results In 36 cases of occult and subtle fractures of lisfranc joint the main MSCT manifestations included single subtle crack fracture and small avulsion fractures and a small part of mild depressed fracture,and more involvement of the middle column .Conclusion On conventional X-ray plain film the diagnosis of the occult and subtle fractures of lisfranc joint was easily missed ,but MSCT can accurately show the details of its dam-age,and has the great practical value in the diagnosis and the guide of treatment .
