Clinical manifestations and predisposing cause of penicilliosis marneffei
Abstract：Objective To explore the predisposing cause and the clinical manifestations of Penicilliosis marneffei(PSM).Methods The clinical data of 64 patients with PSM was reviewed and analyzed .Results The main predisposing cause of PSM was AIDS ( accounted for 48.4%) .For non HIV positive patient ,underlying diseases of lung was the main pathogenic predisposing cause ( accounted for 68.3%) .The other predisposition causes includ-ed:diabetes mellitus long , term use of glucocorticoids ,long-term use of broad spectrum antibiotics , using antituber-culosis drug,the history of close contact with Penicillium marneffei (PS).Conclusion The patients with above past history or underlying diseases should be alerted to the possibility of the PSM .
