Abstract:Objective To investigate the treatment effect of proximal femoral nail anti-rotation(PFN-A) in-ternal fixation for elderly intertrochanteric fracture .Methods The efficacy of closed reduction and PFN-A internal fixation under C-arm fluoroscopy for 12 elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture were analyzed retrospectively . Results These patients were followed up for 6 to 12 months. All fractures were healed. The average healing time was 5 months.According to traumatic hip score standard, hip function was excellent in 7 cases, good in 4 cases, fair in 1 case. The joint function′s excellent and good rate was 91.7%.Conclusion Closed reduction and PFN-A internal fix-ation in the invasive treatment of elderly intertrochanteric fractures have the advantages of exact curative effect ,simple operation, less damage and fewer complications ,and provide a stable fixation to help early postoperative functional ex-ercise.
