The measurement of serum levels of CA125 in patients with chronic congestive heart failure and its clinical significance
Abstract:Objective To study the change of serum levels of carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125)in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF)and its clinical significance. Methods Thirty-two patients with CHF were divided into two groups based on standard New York Heart Association classification. NYHA I and II was known as the A group and 17 patients was in the A group.NYHA Ⅲand Ⅳwas known as the B group and 15 patients was in the B group.Twenty-five healthy persons were recruited as control group, The serum CA125 levels were determined by electrochemical luminescence immunoassay. Results The level of CA125 in the patients with CHF was significantly higher than that in the control group. The level of CA125 in B group was higher than that in A group, but no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion There was relevance between CA125 level and NYHA.The level of CA125 maybe a good index for CHF diagnosis and assessment.
