The application of joyful learning education combined with complication simulation perception among school-aged children with type 1 diabetes

Abstract：Objective To explore the efficacy of combining joyful learning education with complication simulations perception in school-aged children with type 1 diabetes.Methods A total of 80 school-aged children with type 1 diabetes and hospitalized at Quanzhou First Hospital between April 2023 and March 2024 were enrolled and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group,each of 40.Both groups received routine diabetes care,while the intervention group additionally underwent joyful learning education combined with complication simulation perception intervention.Then,the two groups were compared in terms of diabetes knowledge acquisition,treatment compliance,blood glucose levels,and life quality.Results After the intervention,the treatment compliance and life quality in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group(t=—10.641,P＜0.001;t=—18.025,P＜0.001),while the levels of fasting blood glucose,2-hour postprandial blood glucose were significantly lower than the latter(t=5.120,P＜0.001;t=3.487,P=0.001).Conclusion The combined therapy in this study can improve the treatment adherence and glycemic control of patients,bettering their life quality.
