Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of nursing based on change theory on the patients undergoing gastric cancer chemotherapy. Methods A total of 103 patients undergoing gastric cancer chemotherapy between January 2022 and June 2024 were selected, and divided into a study group of 52 and a control group of 51,using a random number table. Both groups received routine nursing, while the study group was additionally provided with nursing intervention based on change theory. The incidence of complications after intervention, cancer fatigue symptoms, resilience of the two groups were compared. Results After 4-week intervention, the total incidence of complications in the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group(x2=3.985,P=0.046).Moreover,the scores of the revised Piper fatigue scale(RPFS)in the study group were significantly lower than that of the control group(t=11.031,P<0.001).Meanwhile,the scores of Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC)in the former group were significantly higher than the latter(t=-13.164,P<0.001).Conclusion Nursing based on change theory can reduce the occurrence of chemotherapy related complications among patients undergoing gastric cancer chemotherapy, alleviate their cancer fatigue, improve their psychological status.
