Summary of the best evidence for intensive lifestyle intervention among type 2 diabetes remission

Abstract:Objective To summarize the relevant evidence of intensive lifestyle intervention in alleviating type 2 diabetes and provide evidence-based basis for clinical practice.Methods According to the"6 S"model of evidence resources,all evidence related to the alleviation of type 2 diabetes through intensified lifestyle intervention was systematically retrieved from domestic and foreign databases and websites.The retrieval period was from the inception of databases to February 29,2024.Literature screening,quality evaluation,and evidence extraction and integration were completed by two independent researchers.Results A total of 15 articles were selected,including 5 guidelines,6 expert consensuses and 4 systematic reviews.Ultimately,a total of 30 pieces of best evidence were formed,covering five aspects:target population,diet management,exercise management,weight loss management,as well as follow-up and monitoring.Conclusion This study summarizes the best evidence for strengthening lifestyle intervention to alleviate type 2 diabetes from five aspects.The aim is to identify the target population through early screening,and to manage diet,exercise,weight loss,follow-up and monitoring well,so as to alleviate their condition.It provides an evidence-based basis for medical staff to implement scientific lifestyle management for diabetic patients.
