Application of the fire dragon cupping in patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease of cold-dampness stagnation pattern

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of fire dragon cupping in patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease of cold-dampness stagnation pattern.Methods A total of 86 patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease of cold-dampness stagnation pattern and admitted to the gynecology outpatient clinic of the Second People's Hospital of Beilun District between April 2024 and June 2025 were selected as the study subjects.They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,each of 43,using the random number table method.Both groups received conventional drug therapy,while the observation group was additionally provided with the fire dragon cupping therapy.After the intervention,the treatment efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores and life quality were compared between the two groups.Results After the intervention,the treatment efficacy and the life quality in the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group(Z＝－2.104,P＝0.035;t＝－9.274,P＜0.001),while the total TCM syndrome score was significantly lower than the latter(t＝11.639,P＜0.001).Conclusion The fire dragon cupping can improve the treatment efficacy for chronic pelvic inflammatory disease,alleviate their symptoms,and enhance their life quality.Therefore,it is worthy of clinical promotion.
