Nursing care for patients whose infections from implanted cardiac devices resulted in transvenous lead extraction

Abstract：This article summarizes the nursing experience of 29 patients with cardiac implantable electronic device infections who underwent cardiac electrode removal via intravenous approach.The key points of nursing include multidisciplinary collaboration and precise preoperative assessment,infection control nursing,prevention of surgery-related complications and early rehabilitation training.After active treatment and meticulous care,all patients completed the surgery successfully.Finally,27 patients recovered and were discharged after the operation,while 2 patients gave up treatment due to their illness.
