The application of health empowerment nursing combined with lecture-demonstration-action-follow-up pulmonary rehabilitation management in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Abstract：Objective To observe the application effect of health empowerment nursing combined with lecture-demonstration-action-follow-up pulmonary rehabilitation management in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods Using the convenience sampling method,80 COPD patients admitted to Jiujiang First People's Hospital between April 2022 and March 2024 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into the control group and the experimental group,each of 40,according to a random number table.Both groups received routine care for COPD patients,while the experimental group additionally underwent lecture-demonstration-action-follow-up pulmonary rehabilitation management.After the intervention,the health self-management ability,pulmonary function indicators and life quality were compared between the two groups.Results After the intervention,the score of health self-management ability,forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1)as forced respiratory volume in one second,and FVC/FEV1 as the ratio of forced vital capacity to forced respiratory volume in one second in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group(t＝－12.358,P＜0.001;t＝－14.736,P＜0.001;t＝－86.434,P＜0.001;t＝－22.229,P＜0.001),and the life quality was significantly better than the latter(t＝19.938,P＜0.001).Conclusion The intervention of health empowerment nursing combined with lecture-demonstration-do-follow-up pulmonary rehabilitation management for COPD patients can enhance the patients'self-management ability of health,as well as improve their lung function and life quality.
