Abstract:Objective To explore the efficacy of rehabilitation training based on a wearable spinal activity monitoring system on postoperative function rehabilitation in patients with degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis(DLSS).Methods A total of 80 DLSS patients admitted to the department of orthopedics at Taihe Hospital from December 2023 to December 2024 were randomly divided into a control group(n=40)and an observation group(n=40).The control group was given conventional rehabilitation nursing, and the observation group was given rehabilitation training based on a wearable spinal activity monitoring system in addition. The Oswestry disability index(ODI),modified Barthel index(MBI),percentage of multifidus muscle maximal voluntary contraction, and incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the ODI score and the incidence of adverse events of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(Fintergroup=67.324,P<0.001;χ2 =15.238,P<0.001),the percentage of multifidus muscle maximal voluntary contraction and MBI were higher than the latter(t=-9.281,P<0.001;t=-9.072,P<0.001).Conclusion Rehabilitation training based on a wearable spinal activity monitoring system accelerates functional recovery, enhances daily living capacity and reduces adverse events in DLSS patients postoperatively.
