Abstract：This article reviews the assessment tools for sleep and cognitive function,the correlations between sleep characteristics and cognitive function in elder adults,as well as the underlying mechanisms,aiming to provide references for the early identification and formulation of sleep intervention strategies to delay the decline of cognitive function in older adults.
