The influence of Hufu Tongbian Gua Sha therapy on chemotherapy-related adverse reactions in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of Hufu Tongbian Gua Sha therapy in alleviating chemotherapy-related adverse reactions in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer.Methods A total of 100 patients with non-small cell lung cancer and admitted to the first affiliated hospital of Henan university of Chinese medicine between March 2023 and May 2024 were selected as the research subjects.They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,each of 50,according to a random number table.Both groups received standard chemotherapy and conventional treatment,while the observation group was additionally provided with Hufu Tongbian Gua Sha therapy.The conditions of nausea,vomiting and sleep quality were compared between the two groups.Results After the intervention,the degree of nausea and vomiting in the observation group was significantly milder than that of the control group(t=21.948,P＜0.001),while the sleep quality was significantly better than the latter(t=5.723,P＜0.001).Conclusion The Hufu Tongbian Gua Sha therapy can relieve the symptoms of nausea and vomiting in patients with non-small cell lung cancer after chemotherapy and improve their sleep quality.
