Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of exercise intervention based on the Fogg behavior model on cardiac function,self-efficacy and life quality of patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A convenience sampling method was used to select 192 CHF patients admitted to the department of cardiology of Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology between November 2023 and October 2024.They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, according to a random number table. The control group received conventional intervention, while the observation group received exercise intervention based on the Fogg behavior model on top of the control group's intervention.Cardiac function,self-efficacy,exercise compliance and life quality were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the left ventricular ejection fraction,N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide, and 6-minute walk distance,as well as self-efficacy and exercise compliance in the observation group were all better than those of the control group(t=-5.478,P<0.001;t=39.378,P<0.001;t=—6.781,P<0.001;t=-7.829,P<0.001;t=-19.521,P<0.001),while the Minnesota living with heart failure questionnaire score was lower in the observation group(t=24.398,P<0.001).Conclusion Exercise intervention based on the Fogg behavior model can enhance exercise self-efficacy,exercise compliance, cardiac function and life quality of patients with chronic heart failure, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
