Abstract:Objective To explore the intervention effect of music-dance therapy on children with post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD)after earthquakes. Methods Ninety-six PTSD children admitted to Xinjiang Hotian district people's hospital in 2023 were selected, and divided into a control group and an observation group, each of 48,according to a random number table. Both groups received conventional psychological intervention, while the observation group was additionally provided with characteristic music-dance therapy. After the intervention, the degree of psychological trauma,post-traumatic growth and mental health were compared between the two groups. Results After the intervention, the psychological trauma score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(t=7.235,P<0.001),while the post-traumatic growth score and the degree of mental health were significantly better than the latter(t=-9.048,P<0.001;t=5.297,P<0.001).Conclusion Music-dance therapy can alleviate the degree of psychological trauma in children with post-traumatic stress disorder after earthquakes, and promote their post-traumatic growth and mental health.
