Current situation of exercise phobia in elderly patients with acute coronary syndrome after PCI and its influencing factors

Abstract:Objective To explore the current situation of exercise phobia in elderly patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS)after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI),and to analyze its influencing factors.Methods By using the convenience sampling method,180 elderly ACS patients after PCI admitted to the cardiovascular ward of the second affiliated hospital of Shandong first medical university in the second half of 2024 were selected,and surveyed using the Tampa scale for kinesiophobia heart(TSK Heart),the exercise self-efficacy scale,the perceived social support scale and general anxiety disorder scale.Results The TSK-SV Heart score was(42.96±5.98)points.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that place of residence,resident manner,number of comorbidities,social support,exercise self-efficacy and anxiety were independent influencing factors of exercise fear among the elderly ACS patients after PCI(R2=0.369,adjusted R2=0.340;F=12.511,P<0.001).Conclusion Exercise phobia is common among elderly ACS patients after PCI.Therefore,the medical staff can formulate targeted intervention strategies,taking into account their living environment,comorbidities,negative emotions,exercise self-efficacy and social support,to lower their exercise phobia level and promote their health behaviors.
