Health promotion behavior of lung cancer patients after surgery and its influencing factors

Abstract:Objective To investigate the status quo of health promotion behavior in patients with lung cancer after surgery,and analyze its influencing factors to provide reference for formulating targeted intervention measures.Methods By using the convenience sampling method,207 patients undergoing lung cancer surgery who were admitted to the department of thoracic surgery of the first affiliated hospital of Dalian medical university from February to August 2024 were selected as the research subjects.General information questionnaire,health promoting lifestyle scale,brief illness perception questionnaire,medical coping modes questionnaire and general self-efficacy scale were used to investigate the patients.Results The total score of health promotion behavior of patients after lung cancer surgery was 95.00(89.00,102.00)points.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that employment status,family monthly income,disease perception,self-efficacy,facing and submission coping were the influencing factors on the level of health promotion behavior of patients after lung cancer surgery(R2=0.537,adjusted R2=0.506;F=17.253,P<0.001).Conclusion The health promotion behavior of patients after lung cancer resection is at a moderate level.Clinicians should focus on lung cancer patients with negative disease perception,low family monthly income and self-efficacy,and tendency to adopt a submissive response to the disease,and formulate personalized intervention programs to reduce patients'negative perception,encourage patients to adopt positive coping styles,and enhance their sense of self-efficacy.Thus,the level of patients'health promotion behavior can be improved.
