The effect of triple pre-rehabilitation nursing strategy on the prognosis and life quality of postoperative gastric cancer patients

Abstract：Objective To explore the impact of triple pre-rehabilitation nursing strategy on the prognosis and life quality of postoperative gastric cancer patients.Methods Ninety-six gastric cancer patients undergoing radical surgery in the department of gastrointestinal surgery of Tongji hospital affiliated to Tongji medical college between March 2023 and March 2024 were selected,and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group,each of 48.The control group was given routine care,while the observation group was provided with nursing based on the triple pre-rehabilitation nursing strategy.The adverse emotions,self-efficacy,prognosis,and life quality of the two groups were compared before and after the intervention.Results After the intervention,the anxiety and depression scores of the observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group(t=6.885,P＜0.001;t=9.581,P＜0.001),while the scores of self-efficacy and the life quality were significantly higher than the latter group(t=-12.402,P＜0.001;P＜0.05).Moreover,the time of first postoperative flatus,first defecation,resumption of feeding,time of getting out of bed and length of hospital stay of the former group were significantly shorter than the latter(P＜0.05 for all).Meanwhile,the postoperative complication rate of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(x2=5.352,P=0.021).Conclusion The nursing based on the triple pre-rehabilitation nursing strategy can effectively alleviate perioperative anxiety and depression of gastric cancer patients,as well as enhance their self-efficacy and life quality.
