Effectiveness of painting therapy based on the well-being intervention model on young female patients with lung cancer

Abstract:Objective To explore the effectiveness of drawing therapy based on the well-being intervention model on young female patients with lung cancer.Methods A total of 40 young female patients with lung cancer who were admitted to the department of thoracic surgery at Tongji hospital,Tongji medical college,Huazhong university of science and technology between April and September 2024 were selected and randomly assigned to a control group and an intervention group,each of 20,according to a random number table.Both groups received routine perioperative nursing care,while the intervention group was additionally provided with drawing therapy based on the well-being intervention model.Then,anxiety,depression,psychological resilience,and quality of life were compared between the two groups.Results After the intervention,the anxiety and depression scores of the intervention group were significantly lower than the control group(t=1.923,P=0.018;t=2.479,P=0.018),while the total psychological resilience score and scores of life quality in all dimensions were significantly higher than the latter(t=—4.282,P<0.001;P<0.05 for all).Conclusion Drawing therapy based on the well-being intervention model effectively alleviates negative emotions,enhances psychological resilience,and improves the life quality of young female patients with lung cancer.
