Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of applying refined management based on the ORTCC model in ICU patients with enteral nutrition. Methods A total of 976 patients hospitalized in the ICU of the department of intensive care medicine and the department of neurology in the first affiliated hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong university between July and November 2023 were selected.Among them,480 admitted in the first two months were chosen into the control group, while those treated in the following two months were selected into the experimental group. The control group was given conventional enteral nutrition management, while the experimental group underwent refined enteral nutrition management based on the ORTCC model. The enteral nutrition care quality-related indices, the rate of enteral nutrition compliance and the incidence of enteral nutrition complications were compared between the two groups. Results The rate of nutritional risk screening, standard feeding and reaching the standard for enteral nutrition of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group(x2=80.326,P<0.001;x2=15.551,P<0.001;x2=76.197,P<0.001),while the number of enteral nutrition complications was significantly lower than the latter(P<0.05).Conclusion Refined management based on the ORTCC model can effectively improve the early standardized enteral nutrition support and the quality of enteral nutrition care in ICU patients, reduce the incidence of enteral nutrition complications. Therefore,it is worthy of clinical application.
