The development and reliability and validity test of the comfort scale for patients after gynecological laparoscopic surgery

Abstract：Objective To develop the comfort scale for patients after gynecological laparoscopic surgery and test its reliability and validity.Methods Based on the general comfort questionnaire,the initial draft was formulated after letter consultation according to the Delphi method and pre-survey.Then between October 2023 and April 2024,298 patients undergoing laparoscopy in gynecology department of Hubei maternal and child health hospital were surveyed using the scale to test its reliability and validity.Results The scale developed in this study included 4 dimensions and 29 items.The Cronbach's α and test-retest reliability were 0.975 and 0.998 respectively.The scale-content validity index was 0.931.Four common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 63.783％.Conclusion The scale established in this study is of good reliability and validity,and can be used as an evaluation tool for gynecological medical staff to measure the comfort status of patients after laparoscopic surgery,so as to formulate personalized nursing plan.
