The application effect of the"dominant screen prompt"mode of emergency transfer handover list in the intrahospital transfer of critically ill patients

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of the"dominant screen prompt"mode of emergency transfer handover list in the intrahospital transfer of critically ill patients.Methods A total of 100 critically ill patients transferred from the emergency department of the Yancheng No.1 People's hospital in the second half of 2023 were selected into a control group,while another 100 critically ill patients transferred from the same hospital area in the first half of 2024 were chosen into an observation group.The control group was transferred using electronic handover lists without prompts,while the observation group was transferred using the"dominant screen prompt"mode of the electronic transfer handover system.The time for the target department to prepare items for patients,bedside handover time and the quality of transfer handover were compared between the two groups.Results The time for the target department to prepare items for patients and bedside handover in the observation group were significantly shorter than that of the control group(t=30.223,P＜0.001;t=147.174,P＜0.001),while the completeness rate of items preparation and the quality of handover were significantly higher than the latter(x2=6.640,P=0.010;t=-20.888,P＜0.001).Conclusion The new mode has improved the preparation of items in the target department,shortened bedside handover time,and improved the quality of transfer handover.It achieves seamless handover of patient information between the emergency department and wards,which is conducive to ensuring patient safety.
