Summary of the best evidence for perioperative enteral nutrition in patients with gastric cancer

Abstract：Objective To search and summarize the best evidence of perioperative enteral nutrition in patients with gastric cancer.Methods The relevant evidence of perioperative enteral nutrition for gastric cancer patients was searched in Chinese and English databases at home and abroad,with the search period setting from inception to June 2022.Results A total of 19 articles were screened out,including 1 clinical decision,8 guidelines,4 systematic reviews,4 expert consensuses and 2 evidence summaries.Then,24 pieces of evidence were summarized,covering the 7 aspects of nutritional risk assessment,indications,preoperative nutrition support,energy target needs,nutritional preparation selection,enteral nutrition pathway and postoperative nutrition support.Conclusion It is suggested that all hospitals should establish a multidisciplinary team of nutrition,implement nutritional risk screening,and formulate an individualized enteral nutrition intervention plan for patients with gastric cancer.
