Abstract:Objective To analyze the research on occupational hazards of nurses at home and abroad,so as to provide a reference for promoting their occupational health. Methods The literature on nurses'occupational hazards was searched in the Web of Science core collection and CNKI databases from their inception till May 14,2020.The publishing time, journal distribution,high-publication institutions, funding and research hotspots were analyzed by using bibliometrics methods and CiteSpace software. Results A total of 749 English articles from 61 journals and 2 449 Chinese articles from 32 journals were included. The number of English articles published per year showed an upward trend, while that of Chinese articles per year reached its peak in 2011.Moreover,The number of articles written by government agencies ranked at the forefront in the foreign literature, while domestic literature authors were mainly from hospital institutions.About 59.68%(447/749)of foreign literature articles were funded, while only 0.65%(16/2 449)of domestic literature publications were funded. The clustering tags for the English literature were occupational hazard, occupational stress, reproductive hazard, psychological morbidity, chronic fatigue syndrome, sharp injury, breast cancer, antineoplastic drug, nurses occupational stressor scales, urine sample, buccal epithelial cell, occupational health nurse, aide, nurse aid.The clustering tags for the Chinese literature were strategies, occupational hazards, investigation and analysis, status of protective cognition and behavior, wearing gloves, occupational disease/prevention and control, management methods, training. Conclusion Compared with foreign countries, there are still some deficiencies in the research on occupational health and occupational hazards of nurses in China.Clarifying the connotation of occupational hazards of nurses and enriching the relevant research results are the basis for the formulation of technical guidelines for the prevention and treatment of occupational hazards of nurses in line with Chinas national conditions. We also call on the government to increase the research, supervision and support for nurses'occupational health problems.
