Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of applying hammock position in the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia using blue light irradiation. Methods A total of 120 neonatal with hyperbilirubinemia admitted to neonatal intensive care unit in 2023 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group, each of 60,according to a random number table. Both groups received routine blue light irradiation, while the observation group was given hammock position intervention. The duration of blue light irradiation treatment, jaundice resolution time and neonatal pain and discomfort scores were compared between the two groups. Results The duration of blue light exposure and jaundice resolution in the observation group were significantly shorter than that of the control group(t=3.600,P<0.001;t=6.473,P<0.001).Moreover,significant differences were found between the two groups in terms of time effect, intergroup effect and interaction effect(Ftime=818.404,P<0.001;F intergroups=91.648,P<0.001;F interaction=48.713,P<0.001).Conclusion The hammock position can improve the effect of blue light irradiation, shorten the time of light therapy and relieve the discomfort of children with hyperbilirubinemia.
