Personalized detumescence treatment and nursing care of secondary stage Ⅲ lower limb lymphedema after gynecological malignant tumor surgery

Abstract:This paper summarized the nursing experience of lumbar sympathetic nerve block and complex decongestion therapy in the treatment of 4 patients with stage Ⅲ lower extremity lymphedema secondary to gynecologic malignancies,including nursing care after lumbar sympathetic nerve blocking,personalized skin care,modified bare-hand lymphatic drainage,multi-layer bandaging,functional exercise of affected limbs and diet management.After lumbar sympathetic nerve block and CDT,all patients had reduced circumferences of affected limbs and weight,with softened skin,as well as relieved limb function limitation and edema symptoms.
