Construction of evaluation indexes for trauma care competence of emergency nurses

Abstract:Objective To construct the evaluation index system of trauma care competence of emergency nurses,so as to provide reference for the training and evaluation of emergency nurses.Methods Based on the iceberg model of competency,the evaluation indexes and their weights were determined after literature review,group discussion,Delphi expert letter consultation and analytic hierarchy process.Results The evaluation system established consists of 6 first-level indexes,18 second-level and 53 third-level ones,covering knowledge,skill,motivation,personal trait,self-concept and social angle.The authority coefficients of the three rounds of expert consultation were 0.903,0.908 and 0.925 respectively,the questionnaire recovery rates of expert consultation were 100%.Moreover,the Kendall harmony coefficients of the 3 rounds were 0.184~0.495、0.119~0.177 and 0.298~0.719,respectively(P<0.05 for all).Conclusion The evaluation system constructed in this study is systematic and specialized,and can provide references for the training and evaluation of emergency nurses.
