Summary of the best evidences for preventive measures of peripheral phlebitis

Abstract：Objective To summarize the best evidences of peripheral phlebitis prevention,so as to guide clinical practice.Methods Related guidelines and evidence were initially searched in 6 guideline websites including WHO and GIN,while systematic evaluation and clinical decision were retrieved from 7 Chinese and English databases consisting of UpToDate and Wanfang.Quality evaluation and evidence extraction were carried out.Results A total of 11 articles were collected,including 9 systematic reviews and 2 clinical decisions.Finally,13 interventions about medications,dressings and fixation methods were summarized.Conclusion The best evidences of peripheral phlebitis prevention can reduce the occurrence of peripheral phlebitis,relieve the pain of patients,and guarantee the efficiency of treatment.
