Effects of TIG mode in fluid resuscitation management training for PICU nurses

Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of TIG mode in fluid resuscitation management training for pediatric intensive care unit(PICU)nurses.Methods Nurses in the PICU of a grade-A tertiary hospital in Changsha were divided into a control group and an observation group,each of 28,according to their wards.The control group received the routine fluid resuscitation management training,while the observation group underwent the training based on trainig in group(TIG)model.After the intervention,the knowledge-belief-practice level,core competence and teamwork ability were compared between the two groups.Results After the intervention,all the measurements of the observation group were significantly higher than that of the control group(t=-5.231,P<0.001;t=-17.618,P<0.001;t=-8.972,P<0.001).Conclusion The fluid resuscitation management training based on the TIG mode can significantly improve the knowledge-belief-practice level,core competence and teamwork ability of PICU nurses,and is worthy of promotion in the clinical practice.
