A review on the scope of ideological and political teaching practice in nursing curriculum

Abstract:Objective To review the scope of research on ideological and political teaching practice of nursing courses and its current situation,so as to provide a reference for promoting diversified educational function of professional courses.Methods According to Arksey and O'Malley's scope review framework,articles on ideological and political teaching practice of nursing courses were searched in databases such as CNKI,VIP,Wanfang,CBM,national philosophy and social sciences literature center and human literature and social sciences literature center of China universities,with the search time setting between January 1,2014 and October 20,2022.The literature selected was analyzed and discussed.Results A total of 28 articles were included,involving 17 nursing courses.There were 31 ideological and political elements excavated,classified into 6 categories as national feelings,humanistic quality,professional ethics,scientific spirit,personality development,deep learning.There were many integration paths,mainly in case discussion,situational simulation teaching and seminar.Conclusion Ideological and political elements are abundant in current nursing courses,which needs to be polished to be more targeted,professional and systematic.There are various ways to integrate such elements into nursing teaching,and systematic evaluation tools are to be developed.
