Nursing of an elderly diabetic patient with sacrococcygeal pressure injury using vancomycin bone cement

Abstract:This study describes the postoperative nursing of an elderly diabetic patient with sacrococcygeal pressure injury using vancomycin bone cement.According to the conditions of the patient,vancomycin bone cement implantation was performed after sacral coccygeal debridement.During this process,wound care,blood sugar management and nutritional support were performed to prevent bone cement implantation syndrome and re-stress injury at the implant site.Moreover,postoperative care and discharge guidance were also provided.After careful treatment and nursing,the patient's wound became gradually.One month after the bone cement removal,the sacrococcygeal wound was partially scabbed,and healed completely three months later.
