Exercise fear level in patients with high flow oxygen therapy in cardiac surgery and its influencing factors

Abstract:Objective To explore the level of exercise fear in patients with high flow oxygen therapy in cardiac surgery and its influencing factors.Methods A total of 260 patients with high flow oxygen therapy were selected and surveyed using a general condition questionnaire,an self-efficacy for exercise scale,a medical coping modes questionnaire and the tampa scale for kinesiophobia heart(TSK-Heart).Results The total score of TSK-Heart was(43.46±4.53)points.Moreover,the multiple linear regression analysis showed that the age,education level,exercise self-efficacy and medical coping style were influencing factors of exercise fear in patients with high flow oxygen therapy(F=50.800,P<0.001,R2 =0.500,ΔR2 =0.482).Conclusion Attention should be paid to the level of exercise fear in patients with high flow oxygen therapy in cardiac surgery department.Healthcare professionals need to focus on patients who are elderly,have low education level,have low motor self-efficacy,and adopt a yielding or avoidant coping style,and provide them with individualized intervention programs.
