Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction on mental resilience and post-traumatic growth of liver cancer patients after transcatheter artery chemoembolization(TACE).Methods Ninety liver cancer patients undergoing TACE between May 2020 and May 2022 were selected, and divided into a control group and an observation group, each of 45,according to a random number table. Both groups were given routine nursing, while the observation group was additionally provided with mindfulness-based stress reduction for six weeks. Before and after 6-week intervention, both groups were evaluated using the Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC)and the posttraumatic growth inventory(PTGI).Results After 6-week intervention, the scores of CD-RISC and PTGI of the observation group were significantly higher than that of the control group(t=-4.574,P<0.001;t=-4.424,P<0.001).Conclusion Mindfulness-based stress reduction can effectively improve the psychological resilience of liver cancer patients after transcatheter artery chemoembolization and promote their post-traumatic growth.
