Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of moxibustion with septum on primary dysmenorrhea(PD)and sleep disorder in patients with cold coagulation and blood stasis. Methods A total of 72 PD patients treated in our hospital between October 2021 and November 2022 were divided into an observation group and a control group, each of 36,according to a random number table. Both groups were given drug intervention and routine care, while the observation group was additionally applied moxibustion with septum. The clinical efficacy, symptom score, pain and sleep quality were compared between the two groups. Results The symptom score, visual analog scale score and Pittsburgh sleep quality index of the former group were significantly lower than the latter group(t=16.950,P<0.001;t = 8.804,P<0.001;t = 8.572,P<0.001),while the clinical efficacy of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(χ2 = 4.181,P = 0.041).Conclusion The application of moxibustion with septum in PD patients with cold coagulation and blood stasis can alleviate their symptoms and pain, but improve their curative effect and sleep quality. Therefore, such treatment is worth popularizing.
