Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of perineotomy evaluation table in limiting perineotomy. Methods Totally 268 pregnant women who underwent vaginal delivery in our hospital between August 2020 and August 2021 were selected, and divided into an observation group and a control group, each of 134,according to a random number table. The control group delivered routinely, while the observation group was given perineal incision according to their perineal evaluation. The perineal injuries and pain,as well as the maternal and infant outcomes were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The proportion of complete perineum of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, while the lateral perineotomy was significantly lower than the latter group(χ2 =5.760,P=0.016;χ2 =38.555,P<0.001).One and three days after the delivery, the VAS of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(t=16.461,P<0.001;t=13.533,P<0.001).Moreover,the total incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes in the observation group was 7.46%,significantly lower than that of the control group(21.64%).Conclusion The perineotomy evaluation can limit the use of lateral episiotomy, reduce perineal injuries and postpartum pain, lower the occurrence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes.
