Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of fertility dance on the delivery outcome and pain of pregnant women. Methods A total of 200 pregnant women admitted to the hospital in the first half of 2022 were selected and divided into a study group and a control group, according to a random number table. Both groups were given routine antenatal care and parturient guidance, while the study group additionally practices fertility dance. The vaginal delivery rate, duration of labor and delivery pain and outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results The vaginal delivery rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(χ2 =8.665,P= 0.003),and the labor duration were shorter than the latter(t=31.297,P<0.001).Moreover,the pain scores of the study group before delivery and during labor were significantly lower than that of the control group(t=4.525,P<0.001;t=2.227,P=0.027).However,no significant differences were observed between the two groups in the preterm birth, neonatal asphyxia and one minute Apgar score of neonates(all P>0.05).Conclusion Fertility dance can promote vaginal delivery rate, shorten labor duration and relieve delivery pain. Therefore, such practice is worth popularizing in the clinical practice.
