Application and effect of implementing medical clothing management system based on the internet of things technology

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the effect of the internet of things radio frequency identification (RFlD) system on medical clothing management. Methods The medical clothing management leading group was established, and RFID chips were installed to improve the inventory transfer process. The effect was evaluated. Results After the implementation of the RFID system, the time of making an inventory of the dirty medical clothing and quarterly inventory taking were significantly reduced (t =39.324, P <0.001 ; t=47.738, P <0.001) , and the number of clothing loss decreased significantly(t = 19.557, P < 0.001). Meanwhile, the satisfaction of clinical nurses improved significantly (X2=21.701, P <0.001). Conclusion The RFID system can significantly increase the standardized rate of medical clothing management, shorten the transfer time in the ward, reduce the loss of service and improve the satisfaction of clinical nurses, which provides more scientific references to the medical clothing management.
