Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of applying the 5 A model on the self-efficacy and pulmonary rehabilitation compliance of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) patients. Methods Totally 106 COPD patients admitted between June 2017 and March 2018 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, each of 53. Both groups received conventional nursing, while the observation group was additionally provided with the 5 A nursing. The self-efficacy, pulmonary rehabilitation compliance and lung function were recorded and compared between the two groups after 3-month intervention. Results After the intervention, all the measurements of the observation group were better than those of the control group. Conclusion The 5 A nursing intervention can significantly promote the self-efficacy, pulmonary rehabilitation compliance, and lung function of COPD patients.
