Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of applying high-quality nursing intervention in patients with abdominal distension after laparoscopic operation. Methods Eighty patients receiving laparoscopic surgery in our hospital between June 2014 and June 2015 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, each of 40.After their operation, both groups were given routine nursing, while the observation group was additionally provided with quality nursing. The incidence of postoperative abdominal distension and complications, the first anal exhaust time after the operation, the time for the intestine peristalsis to recover and hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of abdominal distension was 12.5% in the observation group, significantly lower than that of the control group (37.5%).The average first anal exhaust time after the operation, the time for the intestine peristalsis to recover and hospital stay of the former group were significantly shorter than the latter group.Acute gastroparesis and other gastrointestinal symptoms were found in significantly less patients of the observation than the control group. Conclusion High quality nursing intervention can significantly reduce the incidence of abdominal distension, promote the recovery of the intestinal function and shorten the hospital stay of patients after the laparoscopic surgery.
