Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of evidence-based nursing on reducing the pull-off of epidural analgesia pumps after cesarean section. Methods Totally 240 maternal using the epidural analgesia pump after cesarean section in our hospital between January 2014 and July 2015 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, each of 120.Both groups were given routine nursing, while the observation group was additionally provided with evidence-based nursing. The rate of unplanned pull-off of the pump and maternal satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group, the unplanned extubation rate was 5.00%,significantly lower than that in the control group (20.00%).The observation group was significantly more satisfied with the nursing care than the control group(Z=-3.229,P=0.001).Conclusion The evidence-based nursing can help to reduce the incidence of unplanned pull-off of epidural analgesia pumps and promote patients'satisfaction.
