Effects of the collaboration care model on self-care and self-management ability among patients with Parkinson′s disease

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of the collaboration care model on self-care and self-management in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods Sixty-eight patients with Parkinson's disease were randomly divided into a control group (n=34)and an intervention group (n=34).The control group was given routine rehabilitation nursing,while the intervention group was provided with collaboration care.Before and after 3 months′intervention,both groups were evaluated using the exercise of self-care agency (ESCA ), the self-management scale and the self-efficacy scale.Results After the intervention,all the measurements of the intervention group were significantly higher than those of the control group.Conclusion The collaboration care can significantly enhance the self-care and self-management of patients with Parkinson′s disease.
