Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of cognitive relaxation training on anxiety, pain and physiological indexes in patients after oral implant surgeries. Methods A total of 186 patients were randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group, each of 93.Both groups were given routine nursing, while the intervention group was additionally provided with intraoperative cognitive relaxation training. The modified dental anxiety scale (MDAS)and pain visual analogue scale (VAS)were used to assess the anxiety and pain of the patients. And their blood pressure and heart rate were recorded. Results No significant differences were found between the 2 groups in the MDAS scores before the surgeries. After the surgeries, the MDAS score of the intervention group (10.46 ± 0.95 )was significantly lower than that of the control group (12.23 ± 0.81 )(t=-13.672,P=0.000).The VAS score (4.86±1.01)of the intervention group was significantly lower than that of the control group (5.94±1.12)(t=-6.906,P=0.000),and the heart rate of the former was also lower than the latter. However, there was no significant difference in the blood pressure. Conclusion The intraoperative cognitive relaxation training can effectively relieve the anxiety, fear and pain of patients undergoing oral implant surgery.
