Influence of cognitive-behavioral intervention on compliance and life quality of patiets with schizophrenia in remission

Abstract:Objective To discuss the influence of cognitive-behavioral intervention on compliance and life quality of patients with schizophrenia in remission.Methods Totally 160 schizophrenia patients in remission were randomly divided into a study group (n=80)and a control group (n= 80).Both groups received the routine nursing care and health education,while the study group was additionally given cognitive and behavioral therapy.Both groups were evaluated before the intervention,at discharge and 3 months after hospitalization using the world health organization quality of life brief evaluation form (WHOQOI-BREF), insight and treatment attitude questionnaire (ITAQ )and self medication compliance questionnaire .Results All the measurements of the WHOQOI-BREF and ITAQ in the study group improved significantly compared to those before it and those in the control group.Three months after discharge,the medication compliance of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group.Conclusion Cognitive-behavioral intervention can effectively improve the life quality and medication compliance of patiets with schizophrenia in remission.It is beneficial to their rehabilitation and recovery of life and social function.
