The effect of continuity nursing intervention on prognosis of elderly patients with ischemic stroke

Abstract：Objective To study the effect of continuity nursing intervention on prognosis of elderly patients with ischemic stroke.Methods Ninety ischemic stroke patients admitted to our hospital between January 2013 and January 201 5 were selected and randomly divided into an observa-tion group and a control group,each of 45,according to the random number table.Both groups were given routine nursing,while the observation group was additionally provided with continuity nursing intervention.The compliance,limb function,activities of daily living and satisfaction of nursing of patients in both groups were observed and compared. Results All the measurements of the observation group were significantly better than those of the control group.Conclusions Continuity nursing can effectively improve the compliance behaviors of elderly patients with ischemic stroke, improve their satisfaction,limb function,life quality and activities of daily life.
