Abstract:Objective To explore the nursing measures of normal perfusion pressure breakthrough syndrome (NPPB)for patients with cerebral arteriovenous malformations (CAVM). Methods Fifty-seven patients with CAVM hospitalized between January 2005 to 2010 were selected as the control group and 5 1 counterparts hospitalized between February 2010 and 201 5 were chosen as the observation group.Bothe groups were given routine nursing, while the observation group was additionally provided with strengthened nursing. The incidence of NPPB after operation, the mean arterial pressure (MAP)and local cerebral blood flow (CBF)of both groups were compared after the operation. Results No significant differences were found in the incidence of NPPB and MAP beeween 2 groups. The CBF of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group. Conclusion Strengthened nursing intervention can help to reduce CBF of patients after CAVM surgery, which has certain value to reduce the incidence of NPPB.
