Relationship among posttraumatic growth,resilience and self-efficacy in patients with cervical cancer

Abstract:Objective To study the relationship among posttraumatic growth (PTG ) , resilience and self-efficacy in patients with cervical cancer . Methods Totally 70 patients with cervical cancer were investigated using posttraumatic grow th inventory (PTGI) ,Connor-Davidson resilience scale (CD-RISC) and general self-efficacy scale (GSES) .Results The average total score of PTGI ,the CD-RISC and GSES was 56 .71 ± 11 .06 ,60 .32 ± 12 .08 and 25 .30 ± 6 .29 respectively . Pearson correlation analysis showed resilience and self-efficacy were positively correlated to PTG (r = 0 .437 ,0 .415) .Conclusion PTG of patients with cervical cancer needs improving and can be improved by enhancing resilience and self-efficacy .
