Improvement on retention enema methods for patients wi th chronic kidney di seases

Abstract：Objective To explore the improvement on retention enema for patients with chronic kidney diseases (CKD ) . Methods Eighty CKD patients to receive retention enema treatment were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group , 40 cases in each group . The experimental group was given disposable double -chamber gasbag ureters for the treatment of retention enema ,which has been improved on intubation depth and other detaisl .While the control group were carried out the treatment with the conventional method of retention enema .Then the enema time and drug retention time ,as well as the serum urea nitrogen (BUN) ,creatinine (SCr) and uric acid(UA) before and after the treatment in the two groups were recorded .Results Compared with the control group ,the enema time of the experimental group was significantly shorter ,but the drug retention time was significantly longer .After the treatment ,BUN ,SCr and UA in the experimental group were lower than that in the control group . Conclusion Using disposable double-chamber gasbag ureters for retention enema , combined with improvement in the intubation depth and other details ,can significantly prolong drug retention time in intestine and improve the curative effect .
