The weight before delivery, the body mass index (BMI)changes and complication rates in the perinatal period for the pregnant women,as well as neonatal complications were compared in these two group. Results The average pre-delivery weight and the rate of △BMI ≥ 6Kg/m2 in the observation group were both significantly lower than those in the control group. The occurrence of perinatal complications among the adults and neonatal complications of the observation group were also significantly lower than those of the control group. Conclusion Gestation weight control for pregnant patients with gestational diabetes mellitus can not only keep blood glucose and weight fluctuations within a reasonable scope, but also significantly reduce maternal and neonatal complication rate and improving the pregnancy outcome.
