Nursing education intervention of type 2 diabetes mell itus compl icated with cardiovascular diseases

Abstract:Objective To explore nursing education for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)and its effect.Methods A total of 126 patients with T2DM were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group,each group of 63 cases.Both groups received routine treatment.And the observation group was additionally provided with nursing education.After the intervention, the fasting plasma glucose,2-hour plasma glucose,hemoglobin A1C,triglycerides, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C ) and occurrence rate of adverse cardiovascular events were measured and compared.Results The average HDL-C of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, while the values of the other measurements were significantly lower than those of the control group.Conclusions The nursing education intervention can effectively control blood glucose,blood lipid,blood pressure in patients with T2DM and lower the occurrence of adverse cardiovascular events.
